Every list of plans in the Explorer can be narrowed. Type a few words into the search field in the top bar, the one that reads “Search or filter plans”, or pick a filter chip under the page title. Both edit the same search, so a chip you pick shows up in the field as a pill, and a filter you type lights its chip.
Words match a plan's name or the name of the folder it is in, ignoring capitals. With several words, a plan has to match all of them. Accents count, so "cafe" does not find "Café".
Where it works
- My Work, a folder and a team. The search stays inside the place you are in, and reaches into every folder below it: the list shows each matching plan once, with the folder it lives in beside its name. Folders step aside while a search is set and come back when you clear it.
- Recent, Favourites, Shared With Me and Search results gather plans from everywhere, so they add a Space chip: My Work, Shared With Me, or one of your teams.
- Home, Inbox, Timeline and Trash have no list of plans to narrow. Typing in the field there opens Search results, every plan you can open, narrowed by what you typed.

Click a chip to open its list and tick values; Any at the top unsets it. Made by AI has only one value, so it is a simple on/off toggle. A chip can hold several values: picking Me and Others under People keeps both. Different chips narrow together: Made by AI and Edited keeps what an AI tool made for you that was edited in the last 7 days. Clear at the end of the row empties the search.
While the switch at the top right of the page is on All Apps, showing every app's items, the Opens in chip narrows them to the apps you pick; on Plans, showing liveplanner's own, it is not offered.
Typing filters
The field takes filters as words too, the way the chips write them:

As you type, suggestions appear under the field: use Down and Up to move through them, Enter or Tab to take one, and Esc to close the list. When the whole list is loaded, a suggestion marked No matches would leave nothing in it on its own. A finished filter becomes a pill in the field, with a × to remove it; Backspace at the start of the words selects the last pill, and a second Backspace removes it.
A word that looks like a filter but isn't one, such as colour:red or edited:yesterday, is searched as plain text, and the Explorer says so under the chips, so a typo never hides plans silently. A Space filter typed on My Work, a folder or a team does nothing there, because the place you are in already sets the space; the note under the chips says so. The search reads at most 512 characters.
When the filters leave nothing, the list says so and offers Clear Filters. A screen reader hears how many plans are left once the list has loaded; while more pages are still to come, it says "or more".
Share a search
The search lives in the page's address, so copying the link shares exactly what you are looking at. Typing changes the address in place rather than adding a step to Back for every letter. Moving between Recent, Favourites, Shared With Me and Search results keeps your search; opening a folder or a team starts afresh. A search is not remembered for next time.
