The Inbox sits under Home in the Explorer sidebar's Overview group. It lists what is still open for you, in one place for every liveworkspace app.
What lands here
The page has up to four sections, each with a count beside its heading and each left out when it is empty:
- Assigned to You: every open action assigned to you, and every open Plan card whose Assignee is you, until it is done. A card shows its number, title and type, and the board it sits on.
- Assigned by You: open actions you gave to someone else, so you can follow them up.
- Form Responses: forms in plans you own or reach through a team that have responses you haven't seen yet, such as 3 new responses to Bug Report. Opening the form marks them seen.
- Open Comment Threads: unresolved comment threads you are part of, on elements and on Plan cards: on your own plans, threads you wrote in, and threads where someone mentioned you. A thread where someone mentioned you says Mentioned you; one on your plan that you haven't joined yet says On your plan; one you replied in says You replied.
Done actions and cards, and resolved threads, are not listed. The Inbox is a list of what is outstanding, not a history. When nothing is waiting, the page says You’re all caught up, with a link to how actions work.
With Plans chosen at the top of the page, the Inbox lists only what comes from your plans; with All Apps, it lists every app's, and each row names its app.
Reading and opening a row
Each row names the plan it is from and where in it, with the latest change and when: the action's note, or the latest comment with its writer's initials. Click a row and the plan opens at that spot: an action opens with its popover, a thread with its comments, a card on its board with the card open, and a form's responses on the board they land on. A row from another app opens in that app.
In the editor's Explorer panel, the Inbox also lists the rows of plans saved only in this browser (Offline Mode), each marked This Browser. Nobody else sees those rows, and the Explorer page lists only what your account or guest identity holds.
Come back to a page that has been open a while and the Inbox reads itself again, so it is never a day out of date.
The badge
The Inbox row in the sidebar shows a count of the open actions and Plan cards assigned to you, so you can tell from any other page whether something needs you. It shows 0 when nothing does, and nothing while the Inbox is still loading.
Guests and signing in
The Inbox works without an account, like the rest of liveplanner. When you sign in, what you did as a guest moves to your account with your items.
